Book covers -
Assorted Publishers & Authors
Collection of selected Book Cover Designs. I did all of these on Freelance basis. Most of them are for Publishers. A few are for self-published authors.
The theme of this book was endurance and struggle of 5 strong women. I loved reading the characterization of these 5 extraordinary individuals.
This was a crime-thriller. I'm a fan Robin Cook's medical thrillers. Though Crime I Love wasn't a medical thriller, the plot had a good nail-biting end.
I was totally in love with this plot about 2 young girls and a tiger cub. For the cover, I hand-painted the characters in slight abstract, and used them with graphical washes.
Tagged was an interesting cover to design. The plot involved contemporary issues around Millennials and how they're enmeshed in the world of social media.
WHSL by Vinay Singh is an extraordinary true story of this gentleman who is settled abroad, but wants to come back and open a school in his native for underprivileged children.
The theme of Paperboats was quite abstract. It took me a while to absorb and understand the contexts. This illustrated cover tried to do a similar justice to the book.
A sweet tale about a girl and boy and how they meandered through the vagaries of life. The plot involved an old castle and running electrical lines, which formed the main subjects of this cover design.
Gradients was a selection of poems by Swati. This wasn't the final design that got published. It's quite close to my heart though :)
This plot had any Hollywood thriller's charm. I wanted to keep the design minimal, so kept some spaces here and there. Loved working on the texture for the knife.
These are only a few selected works of mine in Book Cover designs. Book cover designs are very challenging assignments. For each title, I provide 3 options to the publishers to choose from. It requires lot of thinking to come up with ideas, especially when it's illustrated. All the designs are done on basis of short Blurbs provided by Publishers/ Authors.
